Winter League
Entries are now being taken for the Winter League. The cost is €25 for five competitions (or €7 if per competition if you do not prepay). All prepaid entries will go into the draw for tee times (which is organised in the same fashion as the normal Sunday tee time draws) and the same timesheet will apply for all five competitions. There will also be a number of Saturday tee times made available. To enter, put €25 in an envelope with your name on it and place it in the Men’s Competition box.
Course Condition
At this time of year the rate of grass growth starts to slow. It is essential that all members repair pitch marks – your own and any others that you see – and replace divots. The green keepers have done a brilliant job all year and we can do our part to help by carrying out these simple but essential tasks.
Paying next year’s Subscription
Just a reminder that it is possible to pay your 2014 subscription now via your GUI card at the bar. You can pay any amount you choose and make payments as often as you like. The amounts paid will be taken off your subscription renewal when it is sent out in the New Year. For more information contact Anthony or Kathleen in the Golf Club.
Find the Joker
Robert O’Dwyer was last week’s luck winner of the Find the Joker draw, opening envelope no. 13 to reveal the 5 of hearts. The jackpot is now a guaranteed €816 and entries, which cost €2, are taken in the bar.
