Tee’s Restaurant

Some eagle eyed readers will have notice that we wished Padraig Ryan well on taking over as the caterer last week. Of course we all know Padraig Murphy is the man stepping in (apologies Padraig).  However, it does give us a chance to remind you that Tee’s Restaurant will cater for all types of functions and offers menus to suit all tastes and budgets.  The Sunday Lunch specials, 2 courses for €13.50 and 3 courses for €16.50, have been very well received so far and will continue for the foreseeable future.

Handicaps – Exceptional Score Reductions

There have been a number of queries lately in relation to the “Exceptional Scoring Reduction” (ESR) and how it applies to your handicap. Essentially the ESR means that your handicap can be reduced if you post two good scores (4 shots or more better than CSS) within a certain period of time. The closer together you have your good scores, the more you will get cut. The ESR is supposed to cater for golfers whose scores show that they are improving quickly and adjusts their handicaps accordingly. For more information please look at the following article on the website:

Email addresses

The club sends out a lot of its information out via email as it is both cost effective and timely. If you know of anyone who is not receiving the weekly and other emails please let them know that they can get their email address updated by emailing or contacting one of the bar staff.

Paying next year’s Subscription

Just a reminder that it is possible to pay your 2014 subscription now via your GUI card at the bar. You can pay any amount you choose and make payments as often as you like. The amounts paid will be taken off your subscription renewal when it is sent out in the New Year. For more information contact Anthony or Kathleen in the Golf Club.

Find the Joker

Last week’s winner of the Find the Joker draw was Robbie Katus.  The card revealed was the King of Hearts, meaning Robbie nets €30 and the jackpot rolls on to €768. Entries cost €2 and are taken in the bar.
